On January 11, the high school Tech and Multimedia Club advisors took their students to Tech Wars 2023, which was held at Niagara County Community College. More than 800 students from schools as far as Erie and Niagara counties attended the event. Competitions included large bridge building, small bridge building, catapulting, car racing, robotics, and a mystery challenge.
The students who attended were high schoolers Dylan Roath, Dakota Anstey, and Nathalia Coley, along with middle schoolers Abby Kipler, Bradley Pierce, Freedom Matthews, Eleana Coley, Jose Geronimo, Lena Grillo, Kamryn Peruzzini, Kendall Peruzzini, Dalmas Weese, and Korey Weslowski.
Jose Geronimo, first year Multimedia Club member, came in 17th place in the CO2 car races out of more than 50 cars. Kamryn and Kendall Peruzzini and Lena Grillo scored 4th in the mystery competition against 16 other high school teams.
Kyle Syck and Kristen Vilinsky are the club advisors.
The next Tech Wars will be held at Genesee Community College on March 23, and the Tech and Multimedia Clubs will be competing. Great job to all of the students and best of luck in the next event!
